Branchiness

Ooooh another post from Michelle.

Hey there,
Well I just got back home a few hours ago from Los Angeles. I was there mostly for the album art photo shoot.
We were supposed to have it a little earlier but I had to push it back a few weeks so John Leventhal and I could finish
a batch of songs before spring break madness. The photo shoot was wonderful. We were out in the high desert, joshua trees and all but you could see mountains with snow in the background. So pretty. The photographer, Raphael Mazzucco, was really talented and easy to work with.
I surprisingly was sorta bummed when we called it a wrap because we were all just starting to have fun and get warmed up to one another. It really is such a trip getting your photo taken with 20 people surrounding you and making you extra self-aware. I can’t wait to see how the photos turned out and more so, I can’t wait for y’all to see them.

Besides all the photo shoot craziness I also filmed a pilot for a great show that I’m gonna hold off telling you about for a minute. Don’t worry, I didn’t have to act! I’m more of the host *phew* It was incredibly inspiring to say the least.

I’m sitting here on my couch now wondering why I am still awake after such a tiring week.
My family flew in from Arizona for the Easter weekend and should be literally walking in the door any minute.
It will be so much fun having Easter with a little one around to actually bring back some of those old traditions that you shed as you grow up. Owen is super excited for the Easter bunny to come this year because she actually knows what it is this time round. Last year, not so much!
So have a fun Easter weekend, spring break…whatever…..and I’ll check in soon! We are so close to being finished with this record I can’t even tell you!

Peace out.
M

Eeeee! Album art is done! And joshua trees!! Looks like the album is almost ready :) :) :)

And if that wasn’t enough excitement, this week in aid of a geography project I got to count every single business in Letterkenny. Woohoo! Ok so I haven’t actually “counted” them yet, but I wrote down the name of every single one. There are a lot! An awful lot. I also took about 100 photos. Not very interesting ones. Although I got a little carried away in the park, and I’m not sure I’ll even be able to use the photos of it. Le sigh. Also took a photo of the polestar thingy standing in the middle of a road that’s never empty and got to have everyone who drove past staring at me. Nice.
Polestar yokey
The crappiness of the weather also made all the photos a bit gloomy.
